Six robbers accused of robbing a Mlolongo factory shot dead

– A desktop computer, a laptop, and CCTV cameras were recovered, as six other gang members escaped
Six suspected robbers were shot dead along Mombasa Road early Wednesday morning June 8, 2016 after police ambushed them as they were robbing a factory in Mlolongo.
The deceased, together with six others, had broken into African Cotton Company by drilling a hole on one of the walls of the factory and going through it, reported The Star.
According to police, the other six gang members fled on foot.
The officers recovered a desktop computer, a laptop, and CCTV cameras.
Bodies of the deceased were transferred to City Mortuary.
Just a day earlier, five University of Nairobi students were arrested on the morning of Tuesday June 7 at a house in Lower Kabete, on suspicion of being robbers.
Police recovered a gun, five bullets and bhang in the house where they were arrested.
The officers raided the gang, who had Nairobi University student ID cards, following a tip-off from neighbours.
They were suspected of involvement in break-ins within the Kabete area.
