A South African 44-year-old pastor was found dead in the bush after he attempted a fete only achieved by Jesus Christ.
According to buzzsouthafrica.com, Pastor Alfred Ndlovu embarked on a prayer and fasting mission for 40 days in the wilderness just as Jesus did.
Ndlovu embarked on his journey on June 17, 2016, and his body was found after 30 days. He died of malnutrition after going without food or water.
He died of malnutrition after going without food or water.
“He was a very spiritual man. It is unfortunate he had to die this way. After a month we go the sad news of his death,” said Ndlovu’s relative as quoted on Buzz.
Ndlovu was described as a man whose faith could move mountains and one who looked younger than his actual age.
Police who responded to the alert by a passerby who found Ndlovu said they could not prevent such incidents from happening because they cannot prevent anyone from fasting.
Similar cases such as this have been reported to police.
