Amber left without money or a mobile phone, her parents confirmed
A body has been found by police searching for a 13-year-old girl who has been missing for nearly three days.
Amber Peat was last seen at home in Mansfield in Nottinghamshire at 17:30 BST on Saturday.
Officers are at the scene in the town and inquiries are on-going. Formal identification is yet to take place.
Earlier, her mother and stepfather said Amber's disappearance from her home in Bosworth Street was "completely out of character".
Kelly and Danny Peat, who had just returned from holiday with Amber, confirmed she had left without her mobile phone or any money.
Up to 300 people were involved in searches on Monday and Tuesday, with posters being placed in many houses and shops.
Supt Matthew McFarlane, of Nottinghamshire Police, said earlier she had been "out of the house perhaps for a few hours" prior to going missing.
