Man and woman arrested for baby 'murder' in Devon


A man and woman have been arrested on suspicion of murder after the death of a baby girl in Devon.
The 10-month-old girl was taken to hospital in Exeter from Ottery St Mary on Boxing Day. She was taken to Bristol for treatment but died on 29 December.
An investigation is being conducted by the Devon and Cornwall Police Major Crime Team, the force said.
The 28-year-old man and 24-year-old woman have been released on police bail until July.
The man was previously arrested on suspicion of assault causing grievous bodily harm, but was rearrested on suspicion of murder, police said.
