Two held as body is found at Westcliff flat

A man and a woman have been arrested on suspicion of murder after a man's body was found at a flat in Essex.

Police went to the flat in Station Road, Westcliff, on Tuesday afternoon after they became concerned for the welfare of a man.
Officers said the man was in his 50s and from the Southend area.
A 38-year-old man and a 32-year-old woman, both from the Southend area, were arrested late on Tuesday and are being held at separate police stations.
Officers said a post-mortem examination would be carried out later.
