Somaliland Forces Driven out of Buuhoodle

Buhoodle (RBC) the latest information from Buuhoodle, which experienced a dawn raid from Somaliland forces, reports that the Somaliland forces were driven out of town by the local SSC forces. The battle was so intense that all sorts of weaponry were used in the town and as a result many buildings were reported to have collapsed or burned down including residential and administrative buildings.
A journalist in Buuhoodle who spoke to RBC radio, reported that the heavy shelling from Somaliland forces burned down the two police stations of the town and the district municipality building. The journalist reported that this invasion created wide spread displacement of civilians and that most of them are heading towards the safety of the Ethiopian side of the border.
At this point in time the town is in the hands of the SSC forces but the whole area is on war footing. It is reported that reinforcements are coming both from Somaliland and Taleeh. The situation is murky and which trend it takes remains to be seen.
