Palestinian man has been expelled from university after hugging his fiancĂ© on campus after she accepted his proposal.
The former student at the Palestine Technical University was brought up before a disciplinary hearing on charges of “immodest conduct.” He had been seen “putting a ring in the finger of his fiancĂ© before hugging her in public,” according to the Jerusalem Post.
A university official said he had “slandered” the university, adding “the natural procedure was to expel the student.”
