Cinemas to reopen in Saudi

Watching a movie in a theatre in Saudi Arabia may no more be a dream. Authorities in Saudi are contemplating on re-opening of cinema halls.
The step has been considered in view of the social changes taking place in the Saudi society. Social opposition had forced closure of cinema halls in the country many years back.
"Cinema houses will reopen in Saudi Arabia soon.the decision is not in our hands but they will open again because of social changes and the fact that they do not contradict religion," said Sultan Al Bazi, Chairman of the Saudi culture and arts association was reported saying by Sada newspaper
He added that the current period in the kingdom is witnessing real changes, " because the society is changing.I believe that reopening of the cinemas is part of these changes."
