Workman up church tower in Ipswich shot with air rifle

A man was shot with an air rifle pellet while working up a church tower in Ipswich.
The workman was at St Mary le Tower church in the town when the incident happened at 14:23 BST.
He was injured in the back of the head and taken to hospital but later discharged.
Armed response units and a police helicopter tried to track down the person who fired the rifle but neither the weapon or the offender were found.
Anyone who saw anything suspicious around the church, or has information about anyone with air rifles in the town centre, is asked to call Suffolk police.
