WardheerNews condemns the killing of four Americans by the Somali pirates

We at WardheerNews unequivocally condemn the cowardly act by Somali pirates who killed four Americans, Jean Adam, Scott Adam, Phyllis Macay, and Bob Riggle this week.  This heinous act is a reminder of the barbarity that exists when a country like Somalia is left to its own devices where criminals are supreme. We send our prayers to the families of the victims.
Mr. And Mrs. Adam and their friends, peacefully sailing through the tranquil seas, were unfortunately attacked and kidnapped by pirates who took their precious lives without regard to human life. The couple and their friends would no doubt be remembered for their bravery.
WardheerNews believes sending more military war ships to the Somali coast will not put an end to the issue of Somali piracy.  On the contrary, the real solution lays off-shore. Short of reinstating the Somali nation state, the world would not successfully solve either the piracy problem at hand or the terrorist activities looming large in the Somali peninsula.
We at WardheerNews, who had closely followed the Somali crisis have advocated for some time now a two-pronged comprehensive strategy to stop piracy activities in Somalia. First, the Obama administration and EU members should establish a joint Somali-US/EU mobile and rapid deployment marine force trained and equipped by the world community.  A long term solution to both piracy and terrorism in the region would require an effortless engagement in restoring effective and independent Somalia, with its federal institutions functioning in full swing.  In this effort, some non-front line AU members, such as South Africa, shall also partake both in the short term and long term solution to the Somalia piracy and terrorism.
