Christmas Day murder investigation in Littlehampton

A murder inquiry has begun and 12 people have been arrested after a man was fatally stabbed in West Sussex.
Police officers were called to an address in Beach Road, Littlehampton, at 21:00 GMT, on Christmas Day.
A Sussex Police spokeswoman said a man in his 30s, who has not been named, had received stab wounds and died from his injuries.
Of those arrested, the force said "a number" had been detained on suspicion of murder.
'Tragic incident'
A post-mortem examination of the man's body is expected to take place later.
Formal identification of his body is still to take place, the force spokeswoman said.
Beach Road was initially closed after the incident while forensic officers carried out an investigation but has since re-opened.
Det Ch Insp Steve Hays, of Surrey and Sussex major crime team, said: "A full investigation is under way into the circumstances surrounding the victim's death.
"I would like to thank the local community in Littlehampton for their understanding and support while we investigate this tragic incident."
