Man killed in Merseyside M57 collision

A man died when his car left the M57 motorway and crashed in Merseyside, police said.

Emergency services were called to the scene, at junction three, at about 08:30 GMT.
The driver of the red Ford Focus, believed to be aged in his late 20s or early 30s, was confirmed dead at the scene.
The northbound carriageway of the motorway is closed while an investigation is carried out.
