Somalia: Soldiers' Shooting Rampage Condemned

Mogadishu — Members of the transitional federal parliament and Mogadishu traditional elders on Tuesday similarly condemned yesterday's civilian shoot out at Mogadishu Benadir intersection and committed by some of Somali government soldiers in Mogadishu.
Ali Mohamoud Farah better known as (Ali Seko) has told Shabelle that Somali parliament is very sorry about the civilian casualties by Somali government,.
Mr. Ali Seko described the shocking incident as deplorable, saying that it is needed and necessary Somali forces who committed against Mogadishu civilian people to be put on trial as soon as possible.
For his part, Ahmed Diriye, the spokesman of Hawiye traditional elders based in the seaside war-torn Mogadishu has vehemently condemned the incident saying that it shocking.
He called Somalia's top government officials to act quickly to capture persons behind the shoot out and bring to justice.
On Monday, At least 17 people were killed and more than 81 others injured after Somali government soldiers fired anti-aircraft weapons at Benadir in the Somali capital Mogadishu.
