Accra, Feb. 18, GNA - Vice President John Dramani Mahama on Friday announced that the UK would support Ghana with 36 million pound sterling, through the Department for International Development (DFID) to facilitate the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs).
The money would be co-ordinated through the multi-donor budget (MDBS) support to assist the health, education, water supply and other crucial services.
Vice President Mahama announced this during an encounter with Mr Henry Bellingham, the UK Minister for Africa and Member of Parliament for Northwest Norfolk at the Institute of Economic Affairs in Accra.
The visiting Minister who paid a courtesy call on President John Evans Atta Mills at the Osu Castle, is in the country to interact with the country's political and economic think tanks to find solutions to democratic and governance challenges.Read More
