Man dies in fall through Gadloch ice

A 37-year-old man has died after falling through ice at a loch in East Dunbartonshire.
Emergency services were called to the Gadloch, near Lenzie, about 5pm, with divers and a police helicopter helping to search for the man.
His body was recovered about 7.30pm, Strathclyde Police said.
The death came after a weather warning for large parts of Scotland on Monday. Rain, sleet and snow were expected to move from the west during the morning.
A moderate build-up of snow is likely above 250m, with some snow at low levels for a time in the east.
Much of Perth and Kinross, arterial routes in Glasgow and parts of Dumfries and Galloway and the Borders are most at risk from snow and ice.
Rain falling onto sub-zero surfaces will increase the risk of ice in the west and at low levels further east.
