Ethiopian Army is mass executing Beledweyne youth

Baladweyn (Wardheernews) Ethiopian army in Baladweyne shot dead six young men in the vicinity of the regional head quarter. The young men were dragged from their homes by the Ethiopian forces and blamed them to have links with Al Shabab forces. This cold-blooded action instilled panic among the young men of the town. Parents are sending their children to head for the bushes and so exodus of the young is in full swing in the town.
The Ethiopian Army in an act of revenge -for the men they lost yesterday to Al Shabab suicide bomber - enforced curfew, conducted house to house search, arrested so many young men and demanded that all vehicles to stay away from the road until vehicle registration which has yet to start takes full effect.
The town that Al Shabab vacated for the Ethiopian army is in chaos and besides the Ethiopian army there are several armed militias roaming in the city. Shabeele Valey militia, Ahlusuna militia and local militias are looting shops, mobile phones and raping women. Most of the civilians I talked to were all lamenting the departure of Al shabab Al Mujahidiin “we used to leave our doors open in the night without fear of even burglary”.
The heavy handedness of the Ethiopian army and their disorganised and ill disciplined militias are preparing the ground works for Al Shabab’s forceful return.
