Murder arrest as woman and girl found dead in Garforth

An eight-year-old girl and a woman aged 31 have been found dead in a house in West Yorkshire.
Police found the bodies during a search of a house on Kirkby Avenue in Garforth on the outskirts of Leeds.
A four-year-old girl was also found injured at the property. She was taken to Leeds General Infirmary and discharged after treatment.
A 36-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and attempted murder, West Yorkshire Police said.
A police spokesman said on Saturday: "Police were called at around 4pm this afternoon to reports of an assault near the Fairburn Ings Nature Reserve near Castleford.
"Officers attended and, following initial inquiries, a house search was subsequently conducted at an address in Kirkby Avenue in Garforth in Leeds.
"A 31-year-old woman and an eight-year-old girl were found deceased in the property.
"A four-year-old girl was also found with minor injuries."
Officers have asked for anyone with information to contact police or Crimestoppers.
