Heavy clashes between al-Shabab fighters and Somali government troops have claimed seven more lives on the fourth day of violence in the conflict-torn capital.
A mother and her six sons were caught in the crossfire and killed on Thursday, brining the death toll in Mogadishu to over 100 since fighting broke out on Monday.
Another 15 people were injured as the two sides exchanged heavy artillery and mortar fire near the Bakara market, where many businesses have decided to close shops. Read More
