PRESS RELEASE
The
MRD strongly condemns the illegal and unjust punishment which has been
upheld against three leaders USN Abdourahman Bashir Abdourahman Barkat
Guirreh Meidal God andprosecuted for their political commitment within the opposition.
We have understood, as it is often an arbitrary judgment dictated by the regime to silence the opposition.
We
deplore the lack of commitment of the international community to end
injustice to the people of Djibouti daily fighting for ideals such as
freedom and democracy. We ask him to put pressure on the regime to stop
flouting the basic right of citizens of Djibouti is one of peaceful
protest.
The MRD condemns coup of installing a non-elected assembly.
The DSM says that nothing can stop the legitimate demands of the people of Djibouti as the truth will not be restored in the holdup of 22 electoral Févriers 2013 and that all political prisoners as Daher Ahmed Farah (DAF), President of DSM and spokesman for the USN, will not be released unconditionally.
Neither imprisonment or intimidation or violence of the beleaguered regime can divert a people of its goal: the freedom to choose his destiny.
