Wednesday. Mohamed Farah Aden, the fishing and resources minister of Puntland said that the international ships in the coasts of Somalia keep only their interests adding that they did not involve other activities in coastline they petrol. “As we know at least 27 war ships are in the seashores. They say we keep the resources of the Somali coasts or water and we do not see any activities they did except their own. so we are very sorry for that,” said the minister. Mr. Mohamed Farah also said that they had condemned the fighting ships’ activities for several times earlier asserting that the pirate actions were illegal adding that hijacking foreign ships traveling in the sea and taking ransom payment were unlawful. The minister said that the rise of the pirates was caused as the fishing boats of the Somali youth were destroyed by the foreign fighting ships in the Somali coasts which still seems to be increasing anytime. source shabele
