LUQ (Sh. M. Network) – the Islamist fighters of Luq town in Gedo region have captured about 80 people including men and women for charges of violating orders which the Islamic administration imposed in Luq, officials told Shabelle radio on Tuesday.
Reports say that the Islamist fighters conducted operations in the town over the past 24 hours capturing 80 people who were accused for violating to follow the rules of the administration which was imposed both men and the women to halt using the narcotic and taking veil through the town.
Sheik Hussein Al-iraqi, head of the security of the Islamic administration in Luq told Shabelle radio that their forces conducted operations and captured 80 people including men and women pointing out that most of them were women who refused the order of the Islamic administration in Gedo region.
Sheik Hussein Al-iraqi accused the detained women for ignoring the orders of the Islamic administration which was to take covering pointing out that the men also opposed an order not chew Kat in the town which he said that it lastly brought them to be arrested.
Lastly the head of the security of the Islamic administration in Luq town Sheik Iraqi said that their administration will never accept chewing Kat through the town insisting that they will take steps if not taken the order of the administration.
