As Somalia’s internationally recognized government steps up plans to wage a huge offensive aimed at clearing out the nation's Al Qaeda-inspired group, Sheikh Sharif Sheikh Ahmed, the country’s leader, on Monday opened training for 500 Somali policemen in Djibouti.
“Firstly, I hereby to give my sincere gratitude to the government of Djibouti, its people and the country itself, for how they are always devotedly ready to help their Somali brothers” said President Ahmed.
