Al Shabaab Isolates Elwak Town

Elwak — Somalia's Al shabaab, which the United State government accuses to be Al Qaeda's surrogate in the horn of Africa nation, isolated the town of Elwak in Gedo region in southern Somalia.
Somali government forces allied with Somalia's moderate Ahlu Sunna Waljama, who recently confiscated the town of Elwak, are still in control in the town.
Al shabaab fighters have blocked trucks loading with goods from entering the town where many people live.
Residents in Bay and Bakool say that countless business trucks are packed in the roads and small villages in Hudur and Baidao towns
Because of that unreasonable move, thousands of drought affected people are now complaining about the price of the essential foodstuffs is skyrocketing.
Residents in parts of Gedo called for Al shabaab to lift the blockade they imposed on Elwak and Luq town where Somali government forces are in control.
