A witness shocked a Nairobi court by recounting how an infanticide suspect could have used three kitchen knives to slaughter her one-month old twins, by cutting their necks.
This is according to Zipporah Wanjiru, who was a househelp at the Uhuru Estate house in Nairobi where the suspect, Gladys Nyambura, is accused of having committed the crime on May 12.
Nyambura, who is facing two charges of infanticide, had given birth to twins a month earlier, and was living with her sister, a nurse.

The court heard that on that fateful day, after her sister had left for work, the accused retired back to her room with the twins, after taking breakfast prepared by the househelp, reported The Nairobian.
She apparently came out of the house moments later complaining that the babies were crying and went back in.
The househelp claimed that when she got back into the house, she found Nyambura holding three knives, two of which were bloodstained.
Wanjiru told police that Nyambura just remained silent when she asked her what she had done, prompting her to seek assistance from neighbours.
The suspect denied the charges and was released on a surety bond of KSh 300,000.
Hearing of the case is set for September 21.
