MOGADISHU – Sheik Abdi Azizi Abu Musab, the spokesman of Al-shabab fighters has disproved that AMISOM troops shelled their military bases in Mogadishu on Friday accusing them they targeted to the civilian populated areas in the capital.
The African Union troops AMISOM and the transitional government soldiers had conducted joint military operations in the capital in over the recent weeks and achieved to seize strategic positions from Al-shabab forces forcibly.
“AMISOM has not the ability to know our military bases or targeted indeed, but we can tell you that the Christians killed innocent people aimlessly, but we promise for the people to revenge AMISOM, because they used artilleries to the people merciless, so this clears that they came here to massacre our people,” said Sheik Abu Musab
The spokesman of Al-shabab reiterated they had fully prepared for huge offensive against AMISOM and the transitional government of Somalia in Mogadishu pointing out that the TFG had failed its main aims to trying to take whole control of Banadir region.
The statement comes a day after the spokesman of the AMISOM troops said in an interview that the AU troops would not tolerate any terrorism acts from the side of Al-shabab fighters in Mogadishu.
