Somalia: Ahlu Sunna Fighters Clash in Luq Town

Luq — At least 10 people were wounded after fighters loyal to Somalia's moderate Ahlu Sunna Waljama clashed them in Luq town in Gedo region of southern Somalia, reports said on Thursday.
Reports emanating from the Gedo region suggested that the clash erupted after the fighters of Ahlu Sunna in Luq disputed over the military vehicles there.
The wounded people were mainly civilians and they were rushed to hospital in Mogadishu, local residents said.
Abdi Barre, the spokesman of Somalia forces in Gedo region told Shabelle that the confrontation started the fighters of Ahlu Sunna wrangled over a big gun mounted with a military vehicle.
No immediate comments about the incident were available from Ahlu Sunna officials in the region.
