The letter was handed over to the Angolan vice-president, Fernando da Piedade Dias dos Santos, by the Gambia's minister of Foreign Affairs, Mamadou Tangara.
Mamadou Tangara arrived Monday in Luanda for a three-day official visit to Angola.
The Gambian top diplomat said that he will study with the local authorities possible areas for mutual cooperation and the strengthening of the African Union (AU).
Mamadou Tangara also expressed optimism about the expansion of cooperation in different fields between the two African States.
However, the Gambian minister said that he would appeal his country's community resident in Angola to abide by the local laws and promote good socialisation.
Monday, the first day of his visit, the Gambian Foreign Affairs minister reviewed with his Angolan counterpart, Georges Chikoti, the state of bilateral relations and studied the possible areas for cooperation.
