A man in Homa Bay county has shocked neighbors and relatives after he brutally cut off his seven-year-old son’s head.
The suspect was identified as Stephen Ochieng Otieno is said to have used a kitchen knife to decapitate the son named as Castrol Awuol Otieno.

According to edaily the incident happened in the suspect’s house as the boy’s grandfather had gone to take a bath in the lake.
“The suspect attempted to stab himself in the abdomen after chopping off his son’s head, but neighbours intervened and rushed him to Sindo Sub County Hospital for emergency treatment,” edaily reported.
Otieno was later transfered to Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Referral Hospital in Kisumu wher police arrested him for the crime.
The suspect is being held at Kondele prison in Kisumu and will be araigned in court to be charged for murder.
