Mogadishu (RBC) Somalia president Sheikh Sharif Sheikh Ahmed has blamed the international community creating confusion between the Somali people.
Addressing on the commemoration of Somali national army day of April 12, president Sharif said the UN and other international community members were causing new obstacles against his government noting that the people of Somalia can not continue to listen such more from the UN.
“The world neglected Somalia since it lacked the central government in 1991, they were watching what was happening in Somalia why did not they help us?” the president said addressing to national army at Villa Baidhaba base in south Mogadishu.
“They always say we help you so if you want do what we need not what you are going to do”, he added.
He criticized that foreign diplomats appointed for Somalia are not informative persons but instead they urge that they know much about the country.
Sheikh Sharif called the UN and the other partners to leave for the Somalis to decide their internal solution and pointing the international community should only support the desire of Somali people.
Somalia president also acknowledged some of east African states including Uganda, Burundi and Rwanda how they succeeded to manage their own problems and finally come out of the long civil wars ravaged those countries.
“They took their decision, they did not wait for the world”, he said.
