Gatundu South legislator Moses Kuria has admitted that he will meet Coalition for Reforms and Democracy (CORD) leader Raila Odinga for lunch.
Kuria revealed the planned meeting with the opposition leader on NTV when he was hosted for an interview on Saturday, June 18.
Kuria said Raila had arranged to have a meal with him and Suna East MP Junnet Mohamed after the former Prime Minister had called him on phone while in custody at Pangani police station.
The Gatundu South MP said he requested their lunch of fish be accompanied by his favourite traditional greens ‘osuga’.
“Raila requested if I could join him for a meal of fish once we are released. I accepted the lunch offer on condition my favourite vegetable ‘Osuga’ will be available,” Kuria said.
Kuria in the interview said the Suna East MP was an intelligent man with a bright future in politics.
Speaking on Friday June 17, 2016 at AIC Milimani during the requiem service for ex-minister Ngala Mwendwa, Raila said that he had forgiven Kuria for his comments.
The CORD leader said he did not believe that Kuria meant what he said.
Raila said Kuria was only “playing to the overwhelming crowd” when he made the controversial assassination comments.
The opposition leader said if the Gatundu South MP had the intentions to kill him he would not have made it public.
