Speaker, Oba of Benin greet Oshiomhole at 58

BENIN CITY- The Speaker, Edo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Bright Omokhodion has, on behalf of himself, the honourable members and staff of the Assembly, joined millions of Edo people at home and in Diaspora, to felicitate with the Comrade Governor, Adams Oshiomhole on the occasion of his 58th birthday celebration.

The Speaker in his congratulatory message to the governor, a copy of which was made available to The NIGERIAN OBSERVER in Benin City yesterday, described the governor as a great leader and beacon of hope for the masses of Edo State.

He asserted that Comrade Oshiomhole through his sterling leadership qualities, has restored the confidence of the people in the art of governance.

“We are quite impressed and extremely gratified by your level of courage and commitment to restoring Edo State to a position of excellence, Rt. Hon. Omokhodion stated.

He prayed that the Almighty God in His infinite mercy will continue to guide and protect the governor as well as grant him the wisdom of Solomon in his avowed service to God and humanity.

Similarly, the Benin Monarch, Oba Erediauwa, CFR, has on behalf of the Benin Royal family, chiefs, Enigie and the good people of Benin Kingdom, sent his warm felicitations to the Edo State Governor, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, on the occasion of his 58th birthday.

In a congratulatory message signed by Frank Irabor, Secretary, Benin Traditional Council, on behalf of the Oba, the Royal Father described Comrade Adams Oshiomhole as a purposeful and visionary leader with the willingness and sincerity for the overall development of Edo State.

The Omo N’Oba N’Edo, Uku Akpolokpolo, pointed out that the infrastructural development recorded by the Oshiomhole-led administration within a space of two years was a wonder to behold, adding that, “we are happy to share this moment with you and pray God Almighty and our ancestors to continue to guide and protect you in your determination to take Edo State to the next level,” the message added.
