Prison van in A64 Tadcaster crash

A prison van carrying nine inmates has overturned in a crash on the A64 near Tadcaster in North Yorkshire.
Police said the G4 van was carrying prisoners from Hull to various jails across Yorkshire when it was involved in a collision with another vehicle.
The prisoners were assessed by paramedics at the scene and three were taken to York Hospital, two with spinal injuries and one with chest injuries.
The van driver was also taken to hospital with shoulder injuries.
The crash happened at about 1700 BST on Wednesday on the westbound A64 near Oxton.
A section of the road, a major commuter route between Leeds and York, was closed for about three hours, causing long tailbacks.
