A doctor has described how she was raped by a rickshaw driver after a night out in London's West End.
The prosecution alleges that Murat Durmus, 23, raped his passenger near Tower Bridge.Durmus, of Walthamstow, east London, denies two counts of rape, claiming the sex was consensual.
But the doctor told the Old Bailey she remembered crying while the defendant covered her mouth to stop her screaming.
In a video interview, the doctor said she could not remember the details of what happened.
The woman told the court: "Essentially, I don't remember. I am glad I don't remember now."
The doctor said she had finished a night shift in a hospital accident and emergency department on Friday morning.
DNA match She said she then had eight double Bacardis and a shot of sambuca at a club and a bar in central London with a friend.
They walked around looking for a cab.
"Things got a bit hazy," she said. "The next thing I remember is being in the rickshaw. We were laughing because it was going so fast.
"I honestly don't remember how it all started," she added. "He came from behind."
Lisa Matthews, prosecuting, said: "The CCTV shows the defendant picking her up and putting her into the rickshaw and then driving around.
"Her next memory was being raped by him. That happened, she thought, in the rickshaw."
Durmus was arrested two weeks later and his DNA was a match to evidence.
The trial continues.
